What are the qualifications to become a scribe?

All scribes must have a minimum of a high school diploma/ GED. A college degree or current enrollment in a degree program is preferred. A scribe must be able to navigate a computer and type a minimum of 60 wpm. Experience with medical terminology and healthcare environments are preferred. A scribe must be able to handle the rigors of working in a healthcare setting. A scribe must be mature and responsible with a passion for learning and medicine.
